Collab Release: Lost Sailor IPA (Faction / Hidden Splendor)

Special Cask Event! Cask ale lovers, this one’s for you! Faction and Hidden Splendor got together to collaborate on Lost Sailor IPA and we’ll be serving not one but two casks of it side by side on 12/18. ⁠

Lost Sailor is a 6% abv American/English Hybrid IPA drawing inspiration from both sides of the pond and fermented with two yeast strains, one English and one American. It’s built on a foundation of our very special Goschie Promise malt, itself a bit of a transcontinental mash up. The Oregon Promise barley from which the malt is made counts the legendary British variety, Golden Promise, as a genetic parent along with Oregon varieties that help make it thrive here on the west coast. The batch used in Lost Sailor was grown on Goschie Farms in Oregon, known more widely for its hops but they knocked it out of the park with this amazing lot of barley. ⁠

Lost Sailor’s hop profile straddles the ocean, as well: Willamette and Cascade that were also grown on Goschie Farms plus some British Harlequin that adds a modern twist. Each of the two casks we have for this event received additional dry hops, one cask with Willamette and one with Cascade. Come by, hang out with Rodger and Dave, have a pint (or two) of each and take a transcontinental journey without leaving the island. ⁠
